The Alty Funeral Service is an independent, family owned funeral service in Blackburn and Preston, established for five generations. Our long standing reputation means we are called upon to act for more families in the area than any other funeral directors.

As you would expect from a service with over 100 years of experience, we have a range of in-house and partnered services that include absolutely everything you’ll need when arranging and managing a funeral. To ensure all your needs are met, we also offer bespoke options.

Our history and experience in family matters means we can only provide the very best for our customers. We pride ourselves in offering the facilities to complement the high standard of our funeral homes and directors, who have decades of experience.

We continuously strive to ensure you and your family are well looked after throughout. The help and support continues even after the day of the funeral.

Our team is always here to answer your call 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

What we provide with every service:

  • For the funeral arrangements, our dedicated directors can come to your home. Alternatively, you’re always welcome to visit one of our funeral homes.

  • We offer support for every decision throughout the funeral arrangements.

  • The registration procedure and the documents you’ll need for this, will be explained to you thoroughly. We provide help to complete all the necessary documentation.

  • We will care for them until the day of the funeral in our Chapel of Rest.

Rolls Royce Seraph Hearse

  • One of our unique three Rolls Royce hearses will be available to take your loved one to the service and final resting place.

  • One of our elegant Rolls Royce limousines will be available to take a family of up to six passengers to the funeral service, to a venue, or back to your home.

  • Your choice of coffin or casket can be altered at our on-site coffin workshop.

We provide a standardised price list of everything you’ll need when arranging a funeral with us. We also include third parties, such as cemetery fees.

Tributes and donations

Choose an everlasting tribute with a personal touch for your loved one. On these tributes you can share memories, access and share details of the funeral, and make a donation in their memory.
