Golfing Fundraiser for East Lancashire Hospice
Every year The Alty Funeral Service take part in raising money at the East Lancashire Hospice Charity Golf Day.
This year the event was held on the 9th of August 2019 at Blackburn Golf Club. The East Lancashire Hospice Charity Golf Day has been going strong for 7 years, hosted by volunteer Jim Wilson (pictured).
Golfers with any measure of skill can join. Our members of staff from The Alty Funeral Service team up and take part, along with other volunteers for this charitable occasion. It’s a fun day for everyone involved – bystanders and golfers alike!
This year the East Lancashire Hospice Charity Golf Day made a tremendous £2,000 that goes towards funding the East Lancashire Hospice. Over the course of 7 years, Jim Wilson’s event has made £11,825 for such a noble cause.
The East Lancashire Hospice needs £3.7 million to continue to care for those of Blackburn, Darwen, Preston, Hyndburn and the Ribble Valley. The Alty Funeral Service are very proud to offer our contribution to local charities, which care for our friends, family and acquaintances of the local community.
We thank everyone for their generosity and hope to see all of you again next year, along with some new faces too!
