Decades may have passed, but our tradition, passion and values for family culture have always stayed the same. As well as providing support for families during the difficult time of bereavement, we continue to contribute our local community by donating to charities and sponsoring sports clubs.

Our service travels international as our longest serving member, Caroline, has worked alongside several world disasters with her impeccable skills in embalming. Caroline has helped disaster and crisis management organisation, Kenyon International Emergency Services; assisted in the repatriation of victims after the Indian Ocean tsunami in 2004; assisted with the Libya air crash in Tripoli in 2010; and the French Alps air crash in 2015. Amanda, another member of our fantastic team, also offered her services to the French Alps air crash by providing helpline support for the incident.

Making these life changing reconstructions has allowed families to see their loved ones even after these fatal incidents. “Caroline is a miracle worker. In 2017, Wm. Alty & Sons opened the doors to our second funeral service in Preston, so families closer to the area can benefit from our support. Whilst our original funeral home, Broomfield House in Blackburn, has been renovated. This is to give it a contemporary feel, although still keeping the heritage of the historic building.
